Abstract

Mental disorders increased during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Gender and the socioeconomic level of the participants proved to be determining factors.

Beck’s Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS-24), and Coopersmith’s Self-Esteem Inventory were administered via Google forms.

Results: 54 % of the participants were female; depression and anxiety scores were at a high cut-off point, p<0.05 by gender and socioeconomic level; in self-esteem, depression, anxiety, there was a higher risk in females who also came from a low socioeconomic level. Conclusion: the highest risk groups were those of low socioeconomic level females
