Abstract

The foundation Agencia de Desarrollo Económico Local de Morazán (Local Economic Development Agency of Morazán, Adel, given its Spanish acronym) is an apolitical, non-profit private organization with a participative performance. It was founded in 1993 by a variety of productive economic organizations and base organizations with the support of the central government, local governments, the Displaced, Repatriates and Refugees Program for Central America, and the United Nations Program for Development (Prodder and PNUD, given their respective Spanish acronyms). This process was promoted through the dialogue, consultation and participative approach of the different regional actors of the municipality.
