This article analyzes three sentences issued by Salvadorean courts related to the use of minors and mentally disabled minors in child pornography as well as pornography possession, as regulated in Articles 173 and 173 -A of the Salvadoran Penal Code, and for which performance the perpetrators have used information and communication technologies (ICT) as the means of commission. The aim of this analysis is to examine the application of criminal law as executed by Salvadoran judges when dictating sentences and thus find those aspects which need to be improved in order to ensure the prosecution of such offenses that so seriously affect the sexual indemnity of children and adolescents.
