Results of the third phase of the project of registration and recognition of historical archaeological sites of El Salvador

This article shows the results of the third stage of historical documentation of archaeological sites in El Salvador. Currently many sites are waiting to be evidenced from archeology, with its rich colonial history and current territory of Salvadorian Republic needs to be known and studied, not only history but also by the vestiges even today keep these various places. Based on the theoretical basis built a concept and definition of the term historical archeology, which fi t into the historical-geographical context Salvadoran and more, would come to the objectives proposed by this project. The type of archaeological and historical study, whose research technique is based on documentary sources and surface prospecting in archeology. After the completion of the investigation was recorded and documented in indigo plantations of the colonial era and the first half of the nineteenth century in the departments of La Paz and San Vicente.
