Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the legal responsibility that hospitals have in the management of solid, hazardous and biological waste. These wastes from nosocomial dirty contaminated clothing systems often are not treated according to standards set for it, so not only become large f for transmitting diseases, but have become part of large accumulations of trash that are observed daily in different parts of the country. In turn, generate imbalances in the environment, considering that in addition to the large accumulation of solid waste in the environment, becoming, from their landfills in generating greenhouse gases, adding to existing environmental problems. Often, these wastes are not handled with care and the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health and in light of international recommendations. It also sought to determine whether hospitals are meeting the recommended safety measures for handling solid waste for delimiting the frontier of their responsibility and the start of the responsibility of the collector.
