This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the orientation for attention to diversity and its possible link with a local university context.
It also refers to its application in other countries, such as the Spanish experience that has put into practice the model and strategies for diversified attention.
It is insisted that any orientation plan for the attention of diversity is only possible, if ordinary and extraordinary measures of attention are taken into account (in primary, middle and university levels), aspects that can be expressed through the curriculum; otherwise the institutions that want to apply it will not experience the expected results.
