Education: passport for life in democracy

This paper presents a general reflection and the relationship with the Salvadoran context about education as a way to face the challenges of current societies and promote democratic coexistence, which involves overcoming the lack of equity in the education system, educating values and in human rights, build social capital and a new educational model in which the roles of its actors are redefined.
In this particular case, the universities, in a framework of rediscovery of ethics and a commitment to the rescue of the exercise of citizenship.
