Abstract

This paper presents a general reflection and the relationship with the Salvadoran context about education as a way to face the challenges of current societies and promote democratic coexistence, which involves overcoming the lack of equity in the education system, educating values ​​and in human rights, build social capital and a new educational model in which the roles of its actors are redefined.
In this particular case, the universities, in a framework of rediscovery of ethics and a commitment to the rescue of the exercise of citizenship.
