Scientific research in one of the fundamental pillars that characterizes any higher education institution would be serious and committed to the most viable solutions for the people. These solutions should be based on the search for truth and the proposal of alternative solutions that allow us to help resolve part of that agenda to which we are obliged to pay attention.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a fundamental role in nations; Latin America is not the exception. El Salvador is a country that has been experiencing social, political and economic changes, sometimes mild, sometimes abrupt, but its people continue with their right foot and forward.
It should be noted that, in the last decade of the last century in El Salvador, SMEs played a preponderant role just like today. They have been a basic bastion to oxygenate the economy and, therefore, in the maintenance of jobs. In this broad sector of SMEs, we find three key sectors: trade, industry and services.
