When I did some research in the Colonial Fund of Sonsonate, looking for information to support several of the events described in my work on the Gestalt of Anastasio Aquino and on the History of the Economy of the Province of El Salvador, from the sixteenth century to the present day, accidentally I came across a document that, at that moment, called my attention powerfully.
Without knowing for sure that it could serve me, because it was a report sent to the King of Spain by the local authorities, about the damage caused in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros de Guatemala, in 1773, I decided to photograph it and read it later with greater tranquility and care.
Since it was an event foreign to our country, I thought it would be in my files as an interesting information, but over time it was possible for me to translate its content into a more easily readable document.
Without a defined purpose, more than sharing, the product of my work, I decided to write, finally, an article on this topic, to share it with readers who like historical topics.
The photographed document, unfortunately is not complete, as you can see in the text of the publication, however the sheets of it are very evident with respect to the events of those days.
