Abstract

The Doctorate is really a title and an activity quite unknown, more or less, it has always been heard that it is the highest academic degree that can be obtained and that enables to occupy certain high-level positions in the universities of several countries.However, very few know or have stopped to reflect on the importance of the consequences that the Doctorate has on development in different sectors of a nation or region, such as the University, industrial development, professional training, health and educational improvement, etc.
