Abstract

It is not the object of this work to make a detailed and detailed relation of the water resource in the country.
Nor is this resource focused on a complete, strict and rigorous technical vision. Rather, its sole purpose is to provide a global picture of the situation, which is understandable to the general population, and which will make us aware of the seriousness of the problem.
El Salvador is in a really critical situation regarding the availability and use of water. To this is added a scant governmental intention in terms of preserving their sources and rationalizing their use.
And also the very precarious technical capacity of the entities involved in it to find better alternatives for exploitation, distribution and commercialization.
