Abstract

Gender is a social construction like other social constructions such as those related to race, age, sex, etc. However, gender has become a central theme of interest in recent decades for society in general and for psychologists, sociologists and anthropologists in particular. Either because of its infinite nuances, because of the controversy that characterizes it or because of the importance it has historically had in the construction of the social structure and in recent times as the engine of change, more and more researchers are turning their efforts to study and analysis of this construct and all its nuances.
