Abstract

The basic encyclopedic dictionary defines the village as a village with a small neighborhood and, usually, without its own jurisdiction, hamlet. That is, the smallness of the place stands out.
However, the meaning of the word village also implies the union of the inhabitants of it. This unit is usually manifested in the joint search for provisions, security and carrying out events and works that benefit the community.
This concept has sought to apply to the phenomenon we know as globalization to describe the relationships, communications and approaches that are made around the world in the vicinity propitiated by technological advances.
