Abstract

At the beginning of the 21st century, El Salvador continues to be an effervescent country, enormous amounts of energy are released everywhere.
On the one hand, the recrónicas plates, combined with local faults and volcanic chains, the climatic bipolarity and the location of the territory within the Caribbean Basin; and on the other hand, the high demographic density and important political and social differences insufficiently discussed or not resolved contribute to configure a country that is never calm.
Contrary to what has been indicated, the Report of the State of the Nation of Costa Rica of 1999, seems to reflect that, in the neighboring country, "the procession goes inside"; in ours, there are several demonstrations still marching through the main avenues. The good news is that there is plenty of fuel to make the transformations that can substantially expand the opportunities of all our people.
However, as usually happens with all that abounds, we have made little effort to value this source of wealth and, rather, we have tended to waste it.
