Abstract

The attacks of September 11 at the Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon building in Washington, have radically changed the course of history for the United States of America and for the whole world.
In the present century, the United States is the hegemonic power par excellence, and for this reason they define world politics directly or indirectly.
The seriousness of this case is that, for the first time, this country has been attacked in its national territory, despite the fact that they consider the Japanese attack of December 7, 1941 on Pearl Harbor as the first in its history. However, it should be remembered that this port is in the Philippine archipelago, which was seized by the USA.
