Abstract

The expectations of the new government of Francisco Flores President generated in the beginning of his administration a large dose of generalized hopes towards all sectors of a society eager for changes aimed at the construction of a new country and solutions for the endemic problems that hit the Salvadorans for a decade.

Rich and poor; businessmen and workers; employees and unemployed, worried housewives; parents, uneasy about the education of their children; in short, the vast majority of Salvadorans identified the rise of Francisco Flores as a different option to face the tasks of the government, despite the concern for many, the third term of government for the ARENA political party.
