The subject of the present work, entitled prejudices and taboos prevalent in university students, was most suggestive because, despite the fact that we are already on the eve of a new century and, in turn, of a new millennium; when humanity has achieved almost unlikely advances in science and technology, and where the influence of the Social Media (MCS) reaches the last corners of the world, including in that sense a developing country as is El Salvador, it is assumed that there are no mysteries about any subject, especially in relation to the culture of sexuality.
However, our society continues to be a victim of sexual prejudice and taboos.
Precisely because of this enormous advance in science and technology and the access we have to them through social media and because in most of the schools, whether private or public, teenagers receive a class of sex education; parents believe that today more than ever their personal guidance to children with respect to sexuality is not necessary, because they assume, that in school and with the information provided by television, they learn much more than they themselves They can contribute.
