Abstract

The comparison of two ππ → KK rescattering amplitudes is reported for the decay channel B± → π± K K+ using simulated data. The resonant structure of this decay mode is extracted from the model given by the LHCb collaboration. The ππ → KK rescattering region, 0.9 < mK + K− < 1.5 GeV/c2, is found to be compatibly described by both parametrization, with the second amplitude offering an enhanced description in the threshold KK+ . This provides a hint of the potential of this second amplitude in the description of the real data, which can help in the understanding of the role of the strong rescattering in the CP violation phenomenon.
