This paper presents the development of an experimental laboratory of radioactive decay, using Strontium-90, this experiment is presented as part of the content of the subject of biophysics for medicine students in the area of Modern Physics. The experiment is divided into two main parts, which are the calculations of the decay constant (λ) and making the graph of decay counts per second versus the elapsed time for this practice will be done using a SPECTRUM meter TECHNIQUES ST-160 provide counts per second of the radioactive sample, in this case Strontium-90. The use of radioisotopes is very important today in medicine as therapeutic and diagnostic agents for that reason the importance of such experiments for students to understand and become familiar with these physical phenomena.
