This analytical essay tackles “The Importance of Promoting Reading to Develop the Comprehension of Texts” in which the following core themes are discussed: reading, the reading process, reading comprehension as well as skills and strategies for its development; all of them provide a solid idea about the overriding necessity of cultivating the reading habit as a source of knowledge and transformation of the inner being and the surrounding reality.
