The book was originally published in English, in the summer of 2015, by Chelsea Green Publishing -White River Junction, Vermont-: "The Essential Bernie Sanders and His Vision for America". Ricardo García Pérez translated the book a year later, for Capitán Swing Libros -Madrid, Spain-. The body of the text consists of one hundred and eighty-eight pages and twenty chapters; the final part contains a brief biography of Bernard - "Bernie"- Sanders and the acknowledgements. In the introduction and preface, the author offers some reflections on the political contexts in which Senator Sanders's message burst forth, and he also anticipates which will be the main themes of the present edition. In these first pages, it can be glimpsed that Sanders has always had an activity against the current, that he has broken the standards of the exercise of political representation and that his rhetoric has always burst into the institutional spaces in an original way and far from the conventions established in each political-electoral phase.
