This article integrates an overview of the contributions of the virtues according to their approaches, also analyzes the historical background of tolerance and the relationship it has with conflicts seen from different perspectives, in addition to knowing their evolution and field of study, in order to understand the relationship that multicultural societies have with them because of their great diversity, therefore, the main objective is to recognize the need to develop the virtue of tolerance to encourage people more open to understanding these disagreements, but above all, it need to be developed among professionals because of its direct relationship with controversies, as it contributes to understanding, respecting, and transforming them, with the of understanding the parties by reaching agreements and generating harmonious and peaceful social coexistence.
