Scientific journals currently play a fundamental role in these times of health crisis. The pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus has generated that many institutions dedicated to communication, academia and science work together in order to take actions aimed at the dissemination of knowledge. Among these actions are different initiatives, such as those carried out by subscription journals, which currently allow researchers and the general public to access their contents free of charge. In this same sense, many repositories of different universities, international databases and specialized journals have adapted the modality known as Open Access, with the purpose of offering their contents for the benefit of scientists who are working towards finding a solution to the crisis that is currently being experienced in the world (Carbalho, Dias de Lima, & Medina, 2020).
