Child labor in El Salvador

The purpose of this article is to carry out a review of the national and international regulations ratified by the Salvadoran State and of the positive actions to address the issue in analysis; all this, to know the progress and challenges in this area, within the framework of the International Year for the eradication of Child Labor. Taking into consideration the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on Salvadoran society and which may have an impact on the rights of children and adolescents. To conclude on theneed to resume institutional actions with the participation of the State through its competent in general, with the aim of working on the eradication of child labor in El Salvador and the continuation of actions that have been developed to date. For this purpose, methodology of a qualitative –reflective nature has been used in this legal research, which will allow analyzing various instruments to define the problem under analysis and its impact, to conclude in the priority of creating legal and institutional mechanisms that respond to the problem from its origin and in a holistic way.
