Analysis of the criminal process in adolescents in Nicaraguan legislation

Juvenile delinquency is a current problem that directly affect the development of modern societies, for this reason, it is necessary that the states implement policies that allow toaddress this phenomenon in an appropriate manner, respecting and guaranteeing the observance of human rights and fundamental guarantees for young people involved in this type of process, in this regard, it is established that adolescents who commit a criminal act must be tried by special laws that allow the comprehensive protection of these. From the foregoing, we can see the importance of this essay, which aims to analyze the criminal process in adolescents in Nicaraguan legislation, to observe compliancewith international norms and standards regarding the processes of social reintegration of adolescents. For the approach of the proposed it is established that the present essay is descriptive, with a qualitative approach, the technique of semi-structured interview was used, it is concluded that in Nicaragua, although it is true, the laws and general provisions relating to criminal proceeding in adolescents have a strong basis and are protected by the provisions of international treaties and conventions, inpractice the respect for the rights and guarantees of minors because the structure and resources to guarantee these rights are not available is not achieved.
