Abstract

2015 marked the beginning of the publication of the Revista de Ciencias Sociales, thus creating a space for the dissemination of the scientific production of researchers affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. Since then, it has produced annual issues that present studies relevant to our national reality, thereby fulfilling a university mandate: the dissemination of scientific research.

On this occasion, Volume 6 of the Revista de Ciencias Sociales presents twenty-seven articles, within the framework of the VII Seminar 2019 – Promoting Gender Redistribution in Male-Dominated Fields, held in Tegucigalpa M.D.C., Honduras, as part of the activities carried out by the Ibero-American Research Network on Gender Differentials in Higher Education, with the participation of researchers from various universities in Latin America and the University of Alicante, Spain.

We thank the women and men researchers for their contributions; these are valuable studies on gender-related issues that make it possible to understand the reality of the female population at both the national and international levels.
