Abstract

The objective of this research was to validate the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule: whodas 2.0, an instrument for use in the clinical population that attends mental health services in the metropolitan area of San Salvador and Santa Ana. For this, an instrumental study was carried out in which 92 people who received psychological or psychiatric attention in one of the two mental health centers with which they worked, which are located in the departments of San Salvador and Santa Ana, respectively. To validate the instrument, the validity and reliability of the instrument were analyzed through the methods of expert judges and internal consistency. The results indicate that the instrument meets acceptable levels in both dimensions to be used in clinical practice in the area of mental health
