Abstract

Tako-Tsubo syndrome was first described in 1990 by Sato et al. It is characterized by transient apical hypokinesia or akinesia of the left ventricle and normal coronary arteries by catheterization. We present a clinical case of a female patient admitted with a suspected picture of coronary syndrome after an emotional trigger, who meets criteria proposed by the Mayo 2008 clinic for the diagnosis of Tako-Tsubo Syndrome. The importance of identifying this syndrome lies in its presentation clinic simulates an acute myocardial infarction; however, its prognosis and morbidity and mortality are different
