Abstract

Dyspeptic syndrome is defined as the presence of early satiety, postprandial fullness, epigastric pain, or epigastric burning in the absence of organic, systemic, or metabolic disease that probably explains the symptoms. The prevalence of dyspepsia is mild, studies carried out in different countries is between 11-29.2%. In the Community Unit of Intermediate Family Health Conchagua, the number of curative consultations seen from January 1 to May 31, 2019 registered in the morbidity and mortality system of El Salvador was 970, of which 8 were classified with the diagnosis of functional dyspepsia . Of these consultations, the treatment carried out by the doctor is carried out subjectively as there is no clinical guide, so the general objective of the trial is to establish the diagnosis and management of dyspeptic syndrome in patients who consult in the Community Health Unit Conchagua Intermediate Family Member. Regarding the methodology used for the present study, it was convenient to use the document review technique, through search engines such as: Cochrane, academic Google, textbooks and, later, an analysis and interpretation was carried out. of the information. The sources consulted establish that the diagnosis is made clinically based on the Rome IV diagnostic criteria, office studies such as endoscopy and laboratory tests, among which the Helicobacter pylori test stands out. The treatment of dyspepsia with scientific evidence can be pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Regarding the treatment of dyspeptic syndrome at the level of the Community Family Health Unit, Conchagua is based solely on pharmacological measures, however, having nutritionist resources to provide non-pharmacological treatment, this is not used.
