Abstract

In this work the most important cultural events are told before the 19th century; Foundation of universities, Inductions of printing and cultural ideas - more representative philosophical; the main philosophical - cultural currents in Latin America are described, among them, the reaction against Scholasticism, transit to modern philosophy and the characters of the philosophical awakening in Latin America: a Realism, a repudiation of authority and philosophy in the 19th century : Rationalism, Idealism and Positivism; Positivism and overcoming Positivism.
