Abstract

The participation of women in politics is especially important in El Salvador, because for thirty-two years the percentage of women who assume public office has not been able to increase. The conditions in which they participate become obstacles for them to decide to motivate themselves to be part of the democratic process, both in political parties and in the current electoral system. Political, social, economic and cultural factors influence democratic parity, equality and equity to be a void in salvadoran society today.
