Abstract

This document presents the Culture of Peace for the development of communities as a holistic paradigm that is based on positive peace, enhancing the multiple and diverse abilities of families in Nicaragua’s communities, through participation, empowerment and commitment in their own communities, assuming prominence in the construction of social peace realities that respond to their own needs.


It is a proposal of life, an alternative model of peaceful coexistence from the intrinsic of our indigenouscommunity realities and legacies and the historical
and cultural experience of our communities, prepared for new challenges, through education for community empowerment, assuming now as the momentous historical moment for the construction of peace realities from different voices and resignified.

Carlos Alberto García Cabrera, Universidad Politécnica de Nicaragua (UPOLI)

Máster Internacional en Estudios de Paz, Conflictos y Desarrollo. Su trayectoria de trabajo ha estado dirigida a la promoción y desarrollo del Paradigma de la Cultura de Paz, mediante el fortalecimiento del desarrollo humano sostenible. Es Coordinador de Cultura de Paz en la Universidad Politécnica de Nicaragua (UPOLI), Docente e Investigador en el Instituto Martin Luther King.
