Abstract

The Cultura de Paz journal publishes the present text of Carmen Magallón Portolés, as an important contribution that helps us interpret and explain the time we live. Basic concepts for understanding the culture of peace: violence, peace, human right to peace, research for peace, difference between conflict and violence, the Boutros Boutros-Ghali doctrine, and so on. We share it to our readers in the context of a situation of great uncertainty in Nicaragua, where concepts are confused, barely intuited, but especially lived by some, with others that offer a particular vision of reality, for others.

This text should not only be known, discussed and apprehended in the academic field, but also, in the broadest organized sectors of civil society, political parties, NGOs, media, youth, among others. Its content is inheriting to the best tradition of the world academic community and the supranational organizations of the international community.
