Abstract

This testimony was written by the ecumenical theologian and Nicaraguan Baptist pastor José Miguel Torres h., on the occasion of the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the martyrdom of Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero. He describes in broad outline the experiences with the Martyr and Saint in the year 1977, when he had to assume as pastor of “Emmanuel” Baptist Church of El Salvador and when in both countries the people rose against the dictatorial regimes that oppressed them.
