Monsignor Romero: A bishop without fear

Abstract

The Rev. Roger Velásquez, Baptist pastor, shares a testimony of relationship between Archbishop Romero and him, when he served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of El Salvador. He had the joy and privilege to meet and value him in his greatness and humility as a servant of God, in his pastoral work alongside the poor and victims of institutionalized violence which experienced that country and his prophetic word denouncing injustice and announcing for the people the hope of a new life.
