Abstract

Carmen Magallón, Director of the SIP Foundation (Peace Research Seminar), President of WILPF Spain and contributor of the Culture of Peace journal, has closely followed the peace process in Colombia, with visits to different parts of the country since 2010. She was one of the four panelists who were invited to speak at the Second National Summit of Women and Peace held in Bogota from 18 to 21 September 2016.

This summit, which had been convened by nine platforms/ networks of organizations, brought together more than 600 women, visualized the important role played by them in the achievement of agreements and worked on the preparation to collaborate in its implementation in the territories.
