Abstract

The lyric speaker of the book “En pie de paz” by Federico Mayor Zaragoza, stands up proud amid of the storms of war, the powerful people who turn a deaf ear, the social anxiety by terrorism and crime, the crisis of political democracy, the paradox of economic systems governed by social surplus value and private profits, systematic human rights violation and nature degradation. He stands grasping in his right hand a beam of light which is launched against ignominy of human injustice, but with his left hand, he offers to the readers the beautiful flower of his poetry, of which corollas have inside the firm hope that keeps him standing of peace.
