Abstract

Hartmut Quehl presents some of the results of a global investigation on violence, carried out by the Felsberg Institute for Education and Research. From the perspective of a historian uses elements, such as: The main developments of global economic and social change in the time axis; the central axis of the space, focusing in the regions of Europe, the Middle East and East Africa; and the last, the analysis of both from the perspective of the interaction of violence and peace. All this analysis has as analytical framework the neoliberal era.

Also, regarding the link with violence and peace, he highlights three points in the global and regional perspective: The caesura of 9/11 2001; global reconfigurations after the fall of the blocks and free trade and the digital revolution.
