The Revista de Derecho, of the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the Central American University, publishes semiannually articles product of scientific research in any discipline of the Legal Sciences; it constitutes an original, systematic contribution, generator and creator of knowledge; contributes to the formation of an autonomous, creative, innovative thinking aimed at mediating elements such as the ability to analyze content, construct theoretical explanations, make judgments, propose development models, develop diagnoses and apply solutions to environmental problems in order to ensure the generation and transmission of knowledge congruent with sustainable human development.
With the publication of the different original articles, and unpublished, the Revista de Derecho, contributes permanently, in the construction and development of research in the country and in the region, collaborating in the training of students and legal professionals, public to which the Journal is directed.
The author, at the time of sending the research article for evaluation, automatically authorizes the Journal the Right to publish the article, distribute it, and market it in the way it deems appropriate, nationally and internationally, in printed and electronic format ; as well as its inclusion in directories, bibliographic bases and international indexes, without prior notification to the author. Revista de Derecho is subscribed to the Policies and Regulations of Intellectual Property and the Code of Ethics in Research of the Central American University.
The author undertakes not to submit his article to any other journal or publication simultaneously. The content of the research article is the sole responsibility of the author, as a result, the Law Journal is released from any responsibility derived from the content of the work.
To apply for an article to Revista de Derecho, you must take into account the following:
Editorial process
Once the scientific article has been received, the Editorial Committee will acknowledge its receipt electronically and the article will be sent to internal or external peer reviewers, who have been selected according to their professional career in the subject of the postulated article. The peer evaluation process is anonymous.
Once the peer evaluation process is finished, with the evaluation opinion, the Editorial Committee will decide on the publication of the article and will notify the author if the article has been accepted to be published, if it can be published prior to making changes, or if this is not publishable.
Revista de Derecho accepts contributions from academic researchers, national and foreign, provided that it meets the editorial criteria contained herein. These articles may be sent by email to the following address: investigacionfcj@uca.edu.ni.

Central American Journals Online (CAMJOL) is a member of the Ubiquity Partner Network coordinated by Ubiquity Press. According to the EU definitions, CAMJOL is the data controller, and Ubiquity Press are the service providers and data processors. Ubiquity Press provide the technical platform and some publishing services to CAMJOL and operate under the principle of data minimisation where only the minimal amount of personal data that is required to carry out a task is obtained.

We take seriously our duty to process your personal data in a fair and transparent way. We collect and manage user data according to the following Privacy Policy. We regularly backup our databases, and we use reliable cloud service providers (Amazon, Google Cloud, Linode) to ensure they are kept securely. Backups are regularly rotated and the old data is permanently deleted. We have a clear internal data handling policy, restricting access to the data and backups to key employees only. In case of a data breach, we will report the breach to the affected users, and to the press/journal contacts within 72 hours.
Personal information is only used to deliver the services provided by the publisher. Personal data is not shared externally except for author names, affiliations, emails, and links to ORCiD and social media accounts (if provided) in published articles and books which are displayed as part of the article/book and shared externally to indexes and databases. If a journal operates under open peer review then the reviewer details are published alongside the reviewer details.

In the case that control of data changes to or from Ubiquity Press and a third party, or in the case of change of ownership of Ubiquity Press or of part of the business where the control of personal data is transferred, we will do our best to inform all affected users and present the options.
