Abstract

The social and solidarity economy (SSE) has been identified as that alternative focused on the territories; we acept the belief that efforts must be strictly local, however, in the midst of the globalization process, several actions have been developed and they can mark the beginning for the international normative construction of the SSE, admitting a harmonization of those elements of the SSE that can be universalized, respecting, certainly, the particularity of the practices of each region and country which are framed in said sector. Just as the capitalist system rests on the basis of a whole international legal framework of hard and soft law that responds to the interests of an individualistic logic; we defend the idea that the SSE can be strengthened at the domestic level based on these international legal schemes and institutional convergence.
