Criminal legal study of the crime of femicide in Nicaragua

The death of women is a subject of social interest due the Nicaraguan culture has adopted a model where the women’s rights are violated, creating gender inequality. Inequality that creates a violence cycle, in which, in a few cases ends up with the death of a woman by her couple. That situation presents a serious problem to the society; the treatment that the state has given to these situations is with the penalization of the behavior trough the felony of femicide.
On the next investigation, the figure of the Nicaraguan femicide will be analyzed in order to recognize know how and in what way this felony has been regulated in the Nicaraguan legislation. Boarding the situation of the Nicaraguan woman as receptor of the violence and the specific characteristics that defines the femicide felony within the Nicaraguan legal system.
