The viability and the quality of distance learning are directly related to their teachers’ education. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of distance education, reflect on their teachers’ profiles, and show the active methodologies they can use in this educational modality. This is an exploratory study based on a bibliographic research and the practical experience of its authors.
