Abstract

The MultiGradeMultiLevel-Methodology and their ladders of learning are a complex method that was developed by the Rishi Valley Institute for Educational Resources (RIVER) in the context of a rural Indian school-reform. The method is based on the heterogeneity of all children and values both in its construction and through the nature of the learning materials the uniqueness of the learning processes of pupils and teachers. As an alternative that allows for fully individualized learning and teaching in an inclusive school, this method is radiating out nationally and internationally.
