There ar several causes that make an information technology project difficult to finish successfully.Astudy by The Standish Group CHAOS report 2015 shows ten causes consisting in lack of: sponsorship from top management, emotional maturity, participation of users during the execution of the project, clearly defined requirements, optimization, experienced technical staff, standard architecture, agile processes, modest execution, expertise in project management and clear business objectives.

Project management is a prevailing need in any organization, helps to transmit clarity about justification of a project, its objetives, scope, deliverables, its benefits, its profitability. Project management allows the execution of projects to be carried out in an orderly, cost effective and timely manner and with quality as well.
