Abstract

Costa Rica is known as one of the happiest countries in the world and also due to other reasons, some of them related to their green culture, population with specific skills, or for not being involved in any violent conflict with another nation. That is why many companies (most from United States) decide to invest in this Central American country. However, there is no perfect country or nation and that is the reason of this article.

Since Intel chose Costa Rica, all the culture has been evolved to adapt all the processes, methodologies and frameworks required but it is not always that easy. Understanding the behavior of Costa Rican culture now is a key to success in this process, specifically on innovation management systems. Gathering insights from Information Technologies leaders, and phycologist and innovation experts, indeed this culture can affect all those processes in a very good way. The decision to abolish the army and dedicate that budget to public education has created a country that makes the difference with neighboring countries.
