Methodological Suggestions for the use of the polygon pattern in the practical classes of the subject topography

The research responds to the need to improve the methodological work and the teaching-learning process of the subject of Topography, which limits the development of professional skills to carry out topographic surveys, stakeout, and control of the works, in the different stages of the investment process in the students of the career of Bachelor in Construction Education. The objective consists in the elaboration of methodological suggestions for the development of the practical classes of topics II, III, and V of the Topography subject, in the second year of the career, with the use of the polygon pattern of the subject, which favors the integrated appropriation of the contents, and the development of the professional skills stated in the professional’s model. Theoretical, empirical, and statistical research methods were applied, which made it possible to verify the inadequacies in the teaching-learning process of the subject of Topography and to evaluate the feasibility of the research contributions.
