Abstract

This study falls from the specialty of Regional and Local History, and aims to establish an overview of the origins of San Pedro, a community in the municipality of Ticuantepe. Similarly they develop in the written cultural elements that have been identified, such as its gastronomy, beliefs, myths, religious holidays and festivals. It is necessary to state that one of the motivations that guided the study is the strengthening of local identity through the construction of this common past.

Ruth González García

Licenciada en Historia. Actualmente docente de Historia de la UNAN-Managua y estudiante de la Maestría en Estudios Históricos Latinoamericanos y del Caribe. Diplomado en Gestión de Archivos, y postgrado en Teoría y Metodología de Historia Regional y Local, así como cursos libres. Participante en diferentes proyectos de investigación, entre ellos Historia de la Lotería. Facilitadora para el Instituto de la Juventud (INJUVE). Ponente y asistente en seminarios, congresos, conferencias, nacionales e internacionales.
