Traditional agricultural practices are manifested through traditional technological implements used by 100% of the producers, no presence of mechanized agriculture. The 93.33% using the full moon to grow in order to get better returns, which is an area of very subjective worldview contradicts the use of new technologies in the particular case of bean varieties improvements, where 53.34% use Red and INTA INTA Cárdenas, because it operates under the assumption that the technique overcomes the worldview. To carry out this study surveyed fifteen producers of beans community of Las Perlas, using a theoretical sample for selection. According to MAG (2002) 85% of producers nationally using common seed, while 13% used improved varieties, this kind of behavior is contradictory to that found in the community where the 53.34% using improved varieties and only 33.33% use local varieties. Traditional agricultural practices have nothing to do with the adoption of improved varieties are phenomena that occur independently and then articulated in the production process.
