Abstract

In this article social events and moments of violence in El Salvador are explored, particularly in the key year of 1932, in the novel Ashes of Izalco by Claribel Alegria. Through a gender approach Algeria explores how the traditional representation of women, is the best way to highlight social injustices to the reader.
