Abstract

Organized criminal groups are based on factors such as corruption infiltrated in the public sector, impunity favored by the absence of justice mechanisms and social inequality that constitutes the basis for the transgression of human rights. Analyzing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Complementary Protocols is imperative so that the State of Honduras can standardize criteria, generate standards and contribute with mechanisms to combat this scourge at the local, regional and international level.
